A VERY pissed Windows user’s oppinion on Linux
There’s something in all of us that constantly wishpers in the back of our head to protect the things we believe in. Some people go on defending the things they take for granted to such a degree that it becomes synonymous with religious dellirium. And no, I’m not talking about Linux fanboys right now. Just the opposite.
I happened to stumble on LXer on the following article. I have never - and I do mean never - read such a long pile of misinformed and made-up things about Linux. This crosses the realm of reality and lands somewhere between stubbornness and failure to accept truth. You thought Bush was full of crap? Check out this Windows fanboy.

He then goes on mumbling about how Linux is in fact not free, how a user has to pay Red Hat money to get the distro. The inevitable occurred and some people tried to explain where he was wrong. And this is where the true fun begins… The comments users left are priceless.

Linux is cool, although linux users often give stupid resons to start using Linux. I use Ubuntu myself. I found this funny article about “7 shitass Reasons to Try Linux” very funny!

I’d like to go make a DA account just to post “You’re retarded - did you eat paint chips as a child?”
I’ve used linux for years now. I’m no expert at it, but I can get it to run, and I can figure out how to fix most problems (with the exception of making my machine use 5.1 Dolby surround sound since that is proprietary and only released to paid applications it seems).
Someone should slap a copy of ReactOS at him, and tell him to Shut the you-know up. I don’t try to convert people, I use XP and Linux together, because I love them both. I love XP because it’s old, and still able to run better than Vista - and I love Linux because it’s even older, but can out-perform Vista.
Vista, to me, is like WindowsME. They’re intermediate releases that suck. I wonder if the person who posted this on DA had an intermediate release brain.

Linux is free, Red Hat is a distribution. Furthermore, Red Hat charges for support. You can still download the distribution and compile it yourself for free.
